The trail is suitable for both hiking and backpacking. Horses are prohibited on some sections.
Original Trail at Natural Bridge State Resort Park. Slade. Kentucky. It’s located in Slade, Kentucky, at the Natural Bridge State Resort Park. This trail was built in the 1800s and takes you from the gift shop to the Natural Bridge. Natural Sandstone arches measuring 65 feet tall and 78 feet long are the Natural Bridge. For limestone steps you will need to climb over 400ft of forest.
Auxier Ridge Trail, Red River Gorge, Daniel Boone National Forest, Kentucky. It is two miles long and located in Red River Gorge within the Daniel Boone National Forest. Red River Gorge is known for its incredible cliffs as well as amazing rock formations. The park also offers breathtaking views for hikers. Auxier Ride Trail gives you a breathtaking view of some of the most prominent features of Gorge, including Raven Rock and Double Arch. Haystack Rock can also be viewed. Courthouse Rock is accessible from the Auxier Ride Trail.
Eagle Falls Trail, Cumberland Falls State Resort Park Corbin (Ky.). The 1.5-mile Eagle Falls Trail can be found in Corbin’s Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. This trail offers breathtaking views of Cumberland Falls. It is also called the Niagara of the South, and its 125 foot wide Cumberland Falls are a spectacular sight.
